Electrifying riffs, brilliant song structure and killer hooks are in no short supply with We All Drive's Debut EP - Jack The Ripper!

This morning we’ve been given the pleasure of early access to the Debut EP from Gold Coast alternative rock duo, We All Drive.  With their first single, Designer Wine setting the bar when they dropped it in early October, the full release of the Jack The Ripper EP has, in this writer’s opinion, set a whole new bar for local music.

The EP opens up with the namesake track in which they hit the ground running with sweet riffs and straight forward, rhythmic drums which get the listener absolutely pumped.  As the song progresses we see the duo’s songwriting prowess come forward with elegant transitions between sections and a bridge which immediately gets the head banging.

Following up the namesake is “Dead Weight” – an apt title as the track straight away catches you inside a heavy bass riff which gets cut off to bring in the vocals of the first verse.  Again, we’re seeing some next-level songwriting ability from a band still in their early days – we can’t stress enough how refreshing it is to see an SEQ band bringing something new to the table.

We All Drive have taken their plethora of influences and crafted a truly original sound using their simple arsenal of bass, drums and vocals to the fullest extent.  Do yourself a favour and catch their EP Launch this Saturday night at Parkwood Tavern – if you’re a Brisbane local, it’s well worth the trip to the coast!
